NOVEMBER 3, 2023: Motor City Veterans Hockey was honored to join the Detroit Red Wings in their visit to the Detroit VA Medical Center ahead of Veterans Day and their Military Appreciation game on November 11th. Our members engaged with numerous veterans in attendance and were able to share their passion for the game of hockey with their fellow brothers and sisters in arms. Both the Red Wings and Motor City Veterans participated in various activities with veterans at the VA, including a hockey shooting game where participants put blindfolds on to simulate visual impairment and attempted to score a goal. Thank you Detroit Red Wings for your continued efforts to honor and support those who are currently serving or who have served in the U.S. Military!
MARCH 1, 2023: Motor City Veterans Hockey will be a part of the USA Hockey's National Team Development Program's 10th annual Salute to Heroes Appreciation Weekend. Featured along the arena concourse will be a face-painting station, meet and greet with Rosie the Riveters, a slap-shot station with Motor City Veterans Hockey, Paw Patrol character appearances and more family-fun activities!
